Bio

John C.P. Allessio

Chief Customer Officer and Adjunct Associate Professor

John Allessio is Digital.ai’s first Chief Customer Officer with responsibility for pre-sales engineering, all post-sales functions including customer success, customer support, professional services, and customer education/training, and ultimately ensuring the success of our clients.  John is a member of Digital.ai’s Executive Leadership Team.  

In 2022, Allessio joined Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering as an Adjunct Associate Professor.  He focuses on Software Business Management and Internship Assessment courses.

Prior to join Digital.ai, Allessio was PROS’ Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer with responsibility for driving the post-sales customer-facing operations and ultimately ensuring the success of our customers.  John joined PROS in October 2019 and was a named executive and key member of the company’s overall leadership team helping to drive the long-term corporate strategy. 

Prior to joining PROS, John Allessio was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Services at Red Hat, responsible for consulting services, training and certification services, technical and business partner enablement, and pre-sales solution architecture programs. This global organization has the mission to ensure customer success with Red Hat technologies.

John joined Red Hat in 2014 following a 27+ year career with IBM, where he served in several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he was Vice President of Software Services, Support, and Success - Industry Cloud Solutions, responsible for leading software lab services, education, technical support, and accelerated value program offerings globally for IBM’s Industry Solutions software division. Additionally, he led the SaaS Operations and Client Success organization - a team of software consultants and support engineers in 35+ countries with a goal of client success with Industry Solutions software, including Smarter Commerce, Enterprise Marketing Management, Smarter Content, and Smarter Cities.

Allessio began his career at IBM as a Systems Engineer before holding several technical, sales, management, and executive roles within IBM Software Group and IBM Sales & Distribution.
