As a Duke Engineering master’s student, you’ll have access to a specialized team focused on helping you grow your communication and career skills, with support that meets you where you are.

Engineering master’s students at Duke are supported by the GSPS: Career & Communication team, a group focused on providing coaching, instruction, and resources to improve the graduate experience and career preparation. Specific supports include:

  • 1:1 coaching
  • Career Design & Strategy course
  • Writing & Speaking communication courses
  • Skill-building workshops and events
  • Opportunities to connect with and learn from alumni
  • Opportunities to engage with hiring employers
  • Access to software platforms focused on improving skills and practicing for:
    • developing application documents
    • conducting an effective job search process
    • job search strategies in the US and globally
    • interviewing

In addition, engineering master’s students can take part in university-wide programs and initiatives such as career fairs, information sessions, and more.
