David Faraone

David Faraone is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University and a Senior Director at Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, leading the North America East Region Consulting Team. He is a highly accomplished cybersecurity consultant with deep expertise serving large organizations in areas such as CISO and board advisory support, cloud security strategies and safeguards, network security architecture and design, and zero trust security.

Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks (via the Crypsis acquisition), David spent six years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), first as manager and most recently as director at the company’s cybersecurity and privacy services, where he led cybersecurity transformation projects, global security technology implementations, and the development of cloud security strategy for Fortune 500 companies. His CISO advisory work included leading threat and vulnerability management program development and the establishment of incident response programs. He also led client engagements that included cybersecurity program transformations, cloud security and assurance projects, operational technology assessments, internet of things (IoT), and threat modeling. 

David received his bachelor’s degree in security administration and computer technology from Duquesne University, and an associate’s degree in network security and computer forensics from Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He also received a CISO Executive Education Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University.
