Bio
Peter Balnaves
Peter Balnaves has over 25 years of executive and board service in the global digital infrastructure industry. For the past decade, Mr. Balnaves has partnered with venture firms and Series A-C companies focusing on strategy and growth in digital banking, embedded finance, investing, payments, and trading. As a board advisor and non-executive director he has helped launch eight fintechs in six countries and led over twenty growth and product programs.
As a Partner with Boston Consulting Group, he held global, regional, and operational roles including P&L responsibility for a $230M consulting service line. He advised companies on strategy, growth, M&A, and operations. Mr. Balnaves also held interim venture roles at Kleiner Perkins and as COO of a derivatives startup 0-1.
In industry, Mr. Balnaves has held P&L responsibility for a $1.2B division of a Fortune 20 company. He has extensive experience leading transformations, turnarounds, and restructurings. Mr. Balnaves has led $30B investment decisions, $25B in deal negotiations, and $46B of acquisition integrations. Notably, he co-led CVS’ digital integration with Caremark building a $100B industry leader in 2.5 years.
Mr. Balnaves holds degrees from Harvard, Cambridge (MS), Duke (MBA), and IE Business School (Doctorate).
